| We begin with a script.
It must be dynamic and intersting. We prefer to start with an original script written specifically in the radio drama style. This means that it focuses on descriptive talk and the use of sound effects. Second, we must find monitary support. Without money we are unable to put on a performance. We find this support by offering advertising on our website and in our printed materials. Often these include posters, booklets, ads in local papers, and T-shirts. Next we begin to build the team that will work on the performance. This includes actors, actresses, musicians, audio artists and recording staff. As we build the team we simultaniously locate venues that would work for our type of performance. At this point we begin preparing for our print runs. We check and re-check all pieces of graphic art before we go to press. Then we practice. We do whole group practices an average of four times. We also have individual practices as needed. Last but not least we put on our performance. It is quite an interesting show to see, but even more it's an interesting show to hear! We hope to see you at our next performance. |
| LKRD is able to pull together a performance from start to finish in less than three months. That's a lot of hard work on everyone's part. |
