Joe Azzato was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised on Long Island. He began starring in his own films when he got a second-hand movie camera as a gift. Amateur high-school and college films followed. He was art director and cameraman for WLIW in New York. Later he joined the Air Force and traveled around the world, finally settling in Austin, Texas. His first two movie
appearances were foreign films.

He's played a tourist, a parapsychologist, a terrorist, a zombie, a school teacher, and a starship surgeon.
