| A Minnesota native, Lindsay Bonner received her
BA in Music from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN in 2002, where she
was featured in several music and theater productions (including Cinderella
in Sondheim's A Little Night Music). While studying, Lindsay and a group
of other voice students coordinated and starred in a showcase of arias
and opera scenes. She has a keen interest in the integration of singing
and acting and has attended the Wesley Balk Music-Theater Institute in
Minneapolis.
Lindsay's first role in the theater was that of a disgruntled piece of garbage in an educational pro-recycling play at her elementary school. Since then, Lindsay has worked as a folk singer/guitarist at a heritage center, bass drummer in an amusement park band, college choir accompanist, and church musician and enjoys studying and performing a wide variety of music -- her favorites include classical styles such as opera and art song as well as cabaret, jazz, folk, bluegrass, gospel, and pop. Ms. Bonner teaches private voice lessons at Westlake High School and sings with the Central Presbyterian Church Choir in downtown Austin. She is the member services director for the Texas Orthopaedic Association, and in her (rare) spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, seeing films, reading, running, enjoying life in Austin, and learning to cook. Lindsay and her fiance Matt love to travel and have been to several European countries, India, Nepal, and Thailand. |
